I hear conflicting stories. Mostly by dealers trying to sell me a particular unit. PTO or Sub Frame. Tractor hydralics or PTO driven pump. Advantages and disadvantages? I have a Kubota L2500 with LB400 Loader. 4WD. Considering Woods 7500. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

I have a small three point backhoe. It is ruggedly built. It does require quite of bit of care in the attaching and setting upeach time that the tractor is moved to dig in a new location. The difficult part is that you have to set up the three-pointlift arm stabilizer (goes under the lift arms and "pinches" them) very differently for different digs. I'll go for the subframe next time. On the other hand, I like the PTO driven hydraulic pumps. The high flow rate of most pto pumps really makes the backhoe work well. Roger Loving ....

Seeing that the subframe is available for your tractor and is only slightly more costly than a 3 p.t. mounting kit, There shouldn't be any question about it. The subframe attaches to your tractor easier than the 3 p.t., and is much stronger. However, if for any reason you decide to get the 3 p.t., don't forget to order the heavy duty toplink bracket from kubota (order part numbers 70050-93861, 70050-94384, 70050-94385 for your tractor) good luck. If you live in the northeastern u.s. email me for more info. Good Luck! ....
